Building a School Worth Studying At
Syntharidas started from a simple observation: most online AI courses leave learners with a vague understanding but no working code. We set out to do it differently.
Back to HomeHow Syntharidas Came Together
Syntharidas was founded in Bangkok in 2021 by a small group of developers and educators who had spent years working in data engineering and machine learning projects across Southeast Asia. Between them, they'd watched promising learners bounce between YouTube playlists and disconnected tutorials, picking up fragments of knowledge but never quite getting to a point where they could sit down and build something real.
The founding idea was straightforward: structure matters. A clear path through relevant topics, tied to small runnable projects at each step, with a person who can read your code and tell you specifically what to improve. That's what Syntharidas was built around.
The name comes from the Greek word for synthesis — bringing parts together into something coherent. That's a fair description of what we're trying to do: take the scattered landscape of AI tools, Python libraries, and machine-learning concepts, and present them in an order that actually makes sense to a working developer or career changer.
Today, Syntharidas offers three courses, from a foundations track for people new to Python all the way to a mentored capstone where learners complete an applied AI project with a dedicated mentor. Our office is in Bangkok's Empire Tower on South Sathorn Road, and we serve learners across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Our Guiding Values
-
Clarity over complexity
We'd rather explain a concept simply and correctly than dress it up in jargon.
-
Honest framing
We describe each course as it is. If a track isn't the right fit, we'll say so.
-
Work you can show
Every course produces something tangible — code, a project, a portfolio piece.
-
Steady pace over rushing
Skills built carefully through practice tend to last longer than information absorbed quickly.
The People Behind the Courses
A small team with real-world experience in data engineering, machine learning, and technical education.
Nattakarn Kositchai
// Lead Instructor, Foundations
Nattakarn spent eight years building data pipelines for logistics companies in Bangkok before moving into education. She designs the Foundations curriculum and runs the weekly feedback cycle.
Peerapat Wongcharoen
// ML Engineering Instructor
Peerapat worked as a machine-learning engineer at a fintech startup in Singapore for five years. He leads the Applied Machine Learning Engineering track and handles code reviews.
Siriporn Rattanasak
// Capstone Mentor Coordinator
Siriporn coordinates the Mentored Capstone Track and matches learners with mentors who have relevant domain experience. She also manages the learner community cohort.
How We Maintain Course Quality
The standards we follow when designing courses, reviewing work, and handling your information.
Curriculum Review Cycle
Course content is reviewed every six months and updated when relevant libraries, tools, or practices shift. We don't run courses on stale material.
Instructor Code Standards
All example code in our courses follows consistent style guides and is tested before publication. We avoid copy-paste examples that don't actually run.
Data Privacy (PDPA Aligned)
We handle learner data in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act. We collect only what we need and don't share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Feedback Turnaround
Submitted exercises receive written feedback within three working days. For code reviews in the Applied track, we aim for two business days.
Mentor Vetting Process
Capstone mentors are vetted for hands-on experience in their stated domain. We check their work history and run a structured interview before they join the program.
Learner Satisfaction Tracking
We collect structured feedback from learners at the midpoint and end of each course. Results inform the next revision cycle and mentor assignments.
AI Development Education in Thailand
The demand for people who understand machine learning, data pipelines, and model deployment has grown steadily across Bangkok's tech sector. Financial services, logistics, and consumer technology companies regularly look for developers who can do more than use existing AI tools — who can build, evaluate, and maintain models in a production context.
Syntharidas's courses are designed with that practical context in mind. The Foundations track provides the Python and data-handling grounding that everything else builds on. The Applied Machine Learning Engineering track moves into the workflows and tooling that working data teams actually use: experiment tracking, model packaging, and the basics of getting a model into a state where someone else can run it. The Mentored Capstone track is for learners who are ready to work on a real problem with guidance from someone who has done it professionally.
Our instructors bring backgrounds from fintech, logistics, and data engineering — fields where the stakes of a poorly-built model are concrete. That shapes how we teach: we focus on the decisions behind the code, not just the syntax. What does a good train/test split look like for this dataset? When should you retrain a model? How do you communicate model performance to a non-technical stakeholder? These are the kinds of questions our courses address alongside the technical material.
All courses are conducted in English to serve both Thai learners aiming to work in international environments and professionals based in Thailand from other parts of Southeast Asia.
